Mommi was absolutely buzzing on a Saturday afternoon. Their 3:15 sitting for the bottomless brunch was completely full, mainly with 20-somethings as you would expect from a restaurant on Clapham High Street.
Our waiter was really lovely and quickly talked us through the menu. Four of the standard brunch menu items were the options for the Bottomless Brunch, along with churros each for desert and nachos to share for a starter. It looked like Mommi had picked the best four main items to be part of the Bottomless Brunch deal – even the steak was included. This really stood out to me, as often it’s the cheapest items on the menu which form part of the deal.
The nachos weren’t greasy and the avo dip (one of my favs!) was tasty – we ate it all. The steak was great and two eggs with it was really generous. As for the churros for dessert, the cinnamon and organic honey flavours were delicious, we could have eaten two portions each.
But no Bottomless Brunch is complete without the bottomless part. The prosecco was waiting for us when we arrived and our glasses were kept full the entire 1.5 hours, though we didn’t need this because the prosecco bottle was left on the table.
The verdict: 9/10 I can’t fault Mommi in terms of their service or the food. The atmosphere was lively and fun, if anything I’d say the music could be turned down a little, but that’s just personal preference. For £29.50 this is a great value bottomless brunch, definitely worth visiting if you’re in South London.
