It was a gorgeous morning in London, and as the spring weather had finally arrived I was able to cycle through Chelsea, Westminster and Soho to reach The AllBright Club in Fitzrovia. The beautiful 5-storey Georgian Townhouse is an oasis right in the beating heart of the city. This members club is a bit different to most, being designed as a space for women to thrive, welcoming female entrepreneurs, executives, creatives and consultants across all industries from February 2018.
I was there for an event hosted by Nutrition For Naughty People and Yogagise. Sponsored by Laurent Perrier, the day would be made up of Pilates, Yoga, and Nutrition Talk and finally canapes and champagne.
Maddy of Nutrition For Naughty People kicked off and took us through a Pilates routine. It felt so good to be stretching and working on core strength, I had forgotten how satisfying Pilates is!
Yoga with Sarah of Yogagise was another great session for the core, and finishing it off with some meditation, combined with the decor and feel of the The AllBright Club, made the whole morning feel really relaxing.
Once we had all come round from the meditation session, Maddy gave us a really interesting talk about nutrition. The focus of the session was really emphasising the point that eating lots of chemicals really can’t be that good for us. It seems so obvious when you state it, but actually when we look at our diets it’s easy to find that we aren’t eating that many plants and purely natural products at all.
After this it was champagne time…
Healthy canapes was the perfect accompaniment to Laurent Perrier’s low sugar Brut. As someone who tends to drink a lot of Prosecco, it was really lovely to have champagne for a change, and this particular kind was really really nice. Too nice!
The day was an absolutely pleasure to attend, it was great to meet so many likeminded women from different ages, professions and walks of life. Maddy and Sarah were super and The AllBright club was the perfect setting. A fabulous way to spend a Saturday!
