I’ve been to a Roka Bottomless Brunch three times now. I wouldn’t go as far as to say I’m obsessed with it, but it’s getting pretty close! Where else can you get more Japanese food than you can possibly eat and unlimited prosseco, for under £40 each?
There are too many courses to count, it’s impossible to keep up as different sushi and bento dishes are brought to the table. Each dish tastes exquisite, with different and unusual flavours. You can tell that all the fish is of a high quality, and I believe ethically sourced too. For those who aren’t fans of fish, there are beautiful chicken dishes and veggie dishes too. The pictures are from the Holborn branch, but at the Canary Wharf Roka Bottomless Brunch (which is slightly more expensive) you can order things like lobster, as well as having access to a whole spread of options by the chef’s area, which you can help yourself to.
In addition to a welcome Bellini, bottomless prosecco, red or white wine is available throughout the meal and the staff are eager to keep your glass topped up. You have two hours at Roka Bottomless Brunch, which is just the right amount of time to get through all the courses (and drink as much as you can handle!).
What I like about Roka is that they finish the event in style. The desert finale is a sort of tropical island-come-pirate ship of different deserts, ice creams, sorbets and a soft chocolate Buddha. He is my favourite part of the meal – so detailed and clever it seems a shame to eat him, but the taste is well worth the guilt of digging your spoon into his smiling head.
The verdict: 10/10 Roka Bottomless Brunch is one of my favourites in London. Great food, great atmosphere, great service and a chocolate Buddha finale. What more can you ask for?
