I often run over Wandsworth bridge, and I started to notice a beach developing by the river. Complete with deck chairs, umbrella’s and an ice cream stall, Neverland London rose out of the ashes of what must have been a disused bit of land on Fulham waterfront. Just when you though you had seen it all in London..
Obviously I wanted to go ask soon as the weather was good enough. So on a May bank holiday, four friends and I did exactly that. Neverland London is BYOB (Bring Your Own Booze). The bar was just stocked with soft drinks, but the bartenders were happy to create cocktails for you to add your spirits to. Essentially this made it a pretty cheap day out, and inevitably, a pretty boozy one too.
At 2pm in the blazing sunshine it was pretty busy. There were table areas and little beach huts which you could hire out, as well as standard seating and of course the beach area. There were plenty of food options too, from tacos to pizza. The space was surprisingly big, deceptive from the outside, inside there was space for hundreds of people without it feeling crowded.
I had an absolute ball at Neverland London. If it’s a sunny day and you’re looking for somewhere easy to chill and catch some rays, I think this is the perfect place to relax and have a good time, with as much BYOB as you can carry!
